The EOSCpilot project’s second and final EOSC Stakeholders Forum will be held on 21-22 November 2018 at the Austria Center Vienna. The event will have a crucial role in the implementation of the EOSC work plan. Building on the challenges faced and the outcomes of the fifteen Science Demonstrators within EOSCpilot, the Stakeholders Forum is a way of further building on the results around the EOSC Governance Model and Architecture and the Rules of Participation. |

On September 11th, the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) will present the 2018 ESFRI Roadmap on Large Scale Research Infrastructures during a half-day conference in Vienna. The venue will be the Aula der Wissenschaften and the event will run from 12:00 to 18:00. |

The INDIGO-Data Cloud project recently published a paper that highlights the project’s achievements. The paper, entitled “INDIGO-DataCloud: a platform to facilitate seamless access to e-infrastructures”, was published online in Journal of Grid Computing in July 2018. |

At the EOSC Summit (11 June 2018) – From Vision to Implementation, many prominent players and related constituencies were represented and engaged in a fervent debate around the future of EOSC. The EOSC Summit 2018 brought together 180 key players for the implementation of the EOSC, representing all categories and scientific fields. Fifteen research funders and about thirty officials attended from ministries of Member States and Associate Countries. |

The EC-funded project EOSC-hub project started on January 1st 2018, bringing together an extensive group of national and international service providers to create the Hub: a central contact point for European researchers and innovators to discover, access, use and reuse a broad spectrum of resources for advanced data-driven research. |

The EGI Applications Database (AppDB) was recently expanded with the Virtual Machine Operations (VMOps) dashboard. The VMOps dashboard provides graphical interfaces and high-level services for users to manage Virtual Machines and Virtualised Appliances on federated cloud infrastructures, particularly on the EGI Federated Cloud and community-specific cloud federations, for example the ELIXIR Competence Centre Cloud Federation. |
